Teaching feedback

Please find below some feedback I have received on my teaching (both guest lectures and module convening):

Guest Lectures

• It was one of the best presentations I've ever seen

• extremely interesting

• Really lovely and interesting lecture, she spoke clearly and managed to catch me with her presentation style which surprised me since i have the attention span of a goldfish and generally just don't really vibe with linguistics

• Very good speaker, interesting to listen to

• Was really good, she was friendly and answered the questions well.

• It was incredibly interesting and well structured. My hesitations in regards to this topic stopped the second she started talking. It was really good!

• I'm not interested in K-pop at all, yet i liked the lecture. Mainly because it was super easy to listen to her and not boring at all.

• The guest lecture nicely showed how many aspects of Sociolinguistics there are and how diverse the topics can be

Module Convenor Work

• This was a great class! Caitlin is an amazing instructor, who delivers very clear, lively lectures. Her experience with SketchEngine really shows, as she is full of really useful practical tips. The first two sessions, which were more theoretical, were also great and provided us with a clear, easily understandbly yet sufficiently technical, summary of all that we need to know to prepare for research using this tool. Caitlin was also really accessible outside of class for questions when I had to miss a session. Overall, I feel that this course really provided me with a new useful skill that I am ready to use for research.
